I've searched around and around and tried out a couple of different things to try and cut my complete most recent set of lr-fba-next roms down to a less imposing set of games. I'm looking for a couple hundred of the best/most popular games. 2 players, no light gun or trackball. Some clones are fine like 2 player TMNT though.
I tried using RomLister but ran into problems with not being able to find the catver and controls files to even get it to do anything. I've seen tools and best of stuff floating around for Hyperspin but that stuff doesn't apply to Retropie.
So I'm wondering how everyone here cuts their list down to something a little more welcoming to their friends and family who are playing their system. Obviously 10 different versions of street fighter can seem a little overwhelming. I know I could do it manually but I'm not well versed in what's popular aside from a small handful of classics and with a handful of different versions of the same game, I don't even know what the best version to pick would be. To me it seems like a long daunting task and I don't really know where to start.
Any help or points in the right direction would be much appreciated. With all the different front ends and romsets it's hard to get started.
